KCIT : donation to Haus Omega

Members of the board of kickcancerintotouch asbl - KCIT - made a visit to Haus Omega to hand over a much-needed special transformation chair-table for patients unable to move. This chair - not the cheapest one - allows to move patients in a lying position comfortably from their bed and get them afterwards in a sitting position, so that they can be moved around outside their room.

Haus Omega head of the staff Alice Even said that this chair will increase the comfort of the patients unable to move. The donation was possible through the fund raising during sports events – rugby and golf – organised by KCIT in 2013. Omega 90 director Henri Grün expressed his thanks to KCIT on behalf of the patients and noticed that KCIT donated more than 30.000.- euros during the last ten years to Omega 90.

Representatives of KCIT - Joe Lister and Mea Shepard – announced that the fund-raising made during 2014 – i.e. 6.000.- euro - would also go to Omega 90. Of this, 5.000.- euro will be used to support the different activities of the 25th anniversary of Omega 90 in 2015.

The yearly award for special merits in palliative care for the season 2014-2015 delivered by KCIT goes to the staff of Haus Omega.

KCIT is a non-profit organisation that raises funds through sporting activities in Luxembourg.
